The president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev officially visited Italy

The meeting was held on June 8th in Rome and this initiative aims to deepen the international cooperation with each other especially a further expansion of trade and economic interaction.
Italy is well-known for being a global leader in all areas of technology, engineering, and other sectors, so Italy is an important and reliable partner of Uzbekistan in Europe.
The number of registered companies has doubled in recent years, and they are successfully operating in Uzbekistan. Among them are Pietro Fiorentini and Terranova, which are implementing a project for the production of smart gas meters.
Uzbekistan will become an increasingly important reference point for Europe due to the growth of its geopolitical position in Central Asia. Thus, a package of investment agreements and trade contracts worth over 9 billion euros was signed during the business forum held the day before.
In addition, the potential for expanding the collaboration in the areas of culture, the Italian language, education, and tourism has been indicated.
