Terranova has once again been ranked among Italy’s top companies by SDA Bocconi
Terranova was named a finalist in the Best Performing Small Company category of the prestigious Best Performance Award, an initiative organised by SDA Bocconi that aims to recognise the best companies that create economic, technological, human, social and environmental value whilst operating in a sustainable manner overall.
Terranova is therefore regarded as one of Italy’s leading companies.
Now in its ninth year, the Best Performance Award is an annual prize dedicated to Italian companies that stand out for their excellence in sustainable development, understood in the broadest sense – that is, the ability to conduct business whilst ensuring business continuity (a necessary condition) and respecting:
- human and environmental considerations (Green & Social)
- innovation (Innovation & Technology)
- economic management (Value Added)
In addition to size-related requirements, eligibility criteria take into account the following performance metrics:
- EBITDA margin higher than the sector average
- Revenue growth higher than the sector average
- Capex/Total Assets ratio higher than the sector average
- PFN/EBITDA < 3
Among the hundreds of thousands of Italian companies assessed, Terranova made it onto the final shortlist of the top five companies in the Small Company category (turnover of 15–50 million), thereby securing a highly prestigious position alongside other Italian leaders.
The strategic choices we have made and the attention we devote to issues of business, environmental and social sustainability – as demonstrated by our decision to become a Benefit Corporation – have been well received at the various meetings, focus groups and interviews, which ultimately saw us take to the stage alongside Italy’s leading companies. Once again this year, SDA Bocconi has recognised our achievements, and we feel very proud.
